I am Woman, Hear me MEOW?
Raised by women there is one thing that I am certain of. We all belong in an insane asylum. There goes all the feminists burning me at the stake. Here’s the thing, being mental is a compliment. Some of the smartest people in the universe were considered “different than the rest”. You know why, because “so called” society feared to understand them.
“We are emotional. We are too pretty to be smart. We bleed.”
Since the beginning of time, men have been too afraid to question, to think, to wonder. Eve put us on the map. The apple symbolizes our constant need to know more. Eternal happiness was clearly not enough. With one bite we inherited wanderlust and forced Adam to come along for the ride. Adam would have been content with his swinging naked penis.
The world is changing. We stood by too long watching men burn our world up in flames. Now we must do what we always do, create another path.
The spotlight has shifted onto us. It is our time to show them we are more than a cheerleader but the quarterback. Together we can revolutionize the future. Change the way girls think. Like when a boy is mean to you, it does not mean he likes you. It means he’s insecure and frightened by your power. Don’t fall for it.
As women we are the shining light for our baby turtles to find their way back home. As mothers you have a lifetime to show your sons what kind of wife he should marry. As wives you have the support to be great. As sisters you have a friend that needs your encouragement. As politicians you have the opportunity to break the glass ceiling. As celebrities you are the Barbie Doll every girl wants to play with. Each of us has a job to nurture a better tomorrow.
Happy International Women’s Day!!
You is Kind!
You is Smart!
You is Important!
Love your Fellow Woman,
Allie

March 8, 2019 at 12:51 pmI love this so much! We as moms – and dads – are the first line of defense against all the messages in the world telling our girls how they are less because they don’t meet some manufactured standard. Our girls are ALWAYS enough, and it’s our job to make sure they know that.

March 8, 2019 at 11:15 pmInspiring and I enjoy reading your post. Women are emotional but as long as we know it, we can try to conquer it. It can be our strength too. Happy international day to all women out there.

March 9, 2019 at 10:22 amI grew up with the same concept, if a boy is mean to you it means he likes you. That is so wrong and parents to this day are teaching girls the same thing. This is probably the source of women believing that men should be treating them badly….

March 11, 2019 at 4:19 pmsome parents forget they are the first line of defense to the outside world, and they need to if you want to say “train” their kids right

March 9, 2019 at 10:34 pmHappy International Women’s Day! I have a daughter and a son, and we try to bring them both up as good people, in general. The world has always been harsh, and while we make our children aware of that, we want to raise good, strong and caring people, no matter what!

March 11, 2019 at 7:13 amWe can change this, we have to change this. The battle sometimes we need to win is inside ourselves, it is so important to start with our kids, they need to be the change of this world.
