it starts; yesterday.
What to say in a time where every word is crucial. Every moment, every discussion, every interaction has layers to it. We have gone by far too long silently watching our brothers and sisters suffer. Saying things like “I am not a racist” but also not doing much to justify why you are not a racist. If you are not fixing the problem then you are part of the problem at hand.
Stop making All Lives Matter a thing. Why? Your life is not in question at this very fucking moment. We know that all lives matter which is why we are trying to prevent black deaths from happening. DUH!!! Shut up and listen for the first time in your self absorbed LIVES. Back to our scheduled programming. When the LGBTQ community needed us we stood by them and only them. When Abortion rights were in question we rallied and said yes PRO CHOICE is the only choice but when the black community continuously gets killed on camera the protests turn into rage which then brings violence. WHYYY!! Why do we not allow them to shine in the light? Why do we question their legitimacy to ask for justice. They need us! They need change! They deserve to feel safe in their own country. A country where some of their ancestors were forced into, they never had a choice to go back home as Trump Supporters like to use so very often. This is their home, their home for a lot longer than some of you. So if you are one of those people who claim all lives matter, than prove it. Prove it by standing up for your fellow humans. Putting color aside, how would you feel if that was your child, being denied his constitutional rights and choked in public? If your initial answer is to feel anger then you understand the outrage, so be outraged.
So what’s next? The system we thought catered to us, DOES NOT. It divides us, it keeps us down while it walks around doing whatever the fuck it wants. Shame on them and shame on us for allowing it to get this far. How do we get out of the mess we created for ourselves. 1. Education, Education, Education. 2. Pay Close Attention. 3. Vote for the people who not only want change but will be the change. 4. Reform the justice system. 5. Don’t let the media control your narrative. 6.”Metaphorically” blow up this outdated government. 7. Be and Stay United. 8. Kindness is free use it. 9. Don’t be afraid to speak up. 10. If you see something DO SOMETHING; IMMEDIATELY.
Damn the “Man” & Long Live the Revolution.
