As I searched through my albums of photos I noticed how little pictures the two of us have. So many of the photos are of you behind the scenes. You capturing your child while you stood on the side lines. So today I dedicate this entire blog for you.
Words are so tiny in comparison to the love and adoration I have for you. “You is Kind. You is Smart. You is Important.” You truly embody the definition of a mother.
I can say our favorite lines in a card. I can wish for the sunshine since the weatherman predicted grey skies. I can even shower you with all of your favorite bottles of wine from every winery. But what I really want to do is love you. Love you so much you feel smothered, is that even possible? I hope so. Today is National Smothering Day Guest of Honor JoJoBean! (Sorry mom, I had to)
Thank you Mom for all that you do to make life for me and my brothers so simple. Thank you for loving us so much; you made our partners jobs so hard. (haha Andy) Thank you for always taking us on adventures, showing us how much fun life is! Thank you for drawing on lunch boxes, and making sure it had our favorite snacks. Thank you for allowing us to be our wacky selfs and encouraging the creativity. Thank you Mommy for being so wonderful it brightens the darkest days!
I see so much of you in me. Your strength, your attitude, your love of life. And no matter how many times, I say I am different, I am actually a reflection of your mirror self. And there is something really amazing about being someone like you.
May this birthday be everything you imagined it to be. May your kids do everything you want to do without complaining. May you drink yourself happy! Mom, may this be the year for you. For you to feel all the things you think I am and you are not. In order for me to have been who I am, I had to have learned it from you.
Happy birthday Mom!
I love you,
Your favorite (daughter)
