over the hills & to the bump

What I learned about myself being pregnant for the second time. A segment on all things I am sure always existed that are just highly heightened right now.

  1. Grateful is my new attitude of being.
  2. I love being pregnant way toooo much. (i get it now you moms of more than three)
  3. Give me more food, at all times of the day.
  4. Gaining weight is not totally normal!! And neither is pushing out a twelve LB baby.
  5. Meat stinks. Lentils anyone?
  6. Carbs, I love you!  Hello that extra weight gain!!!
  7. If it wasn’t for Dairy, I would be full of shit; literally & figuratively.
  8. Titties where have you been my whole life?
  9. Sleep you were my best friend. Where did you go? And why am I not that upset?
  10. Using the words “I am making a baby” to explain your laziness is like my favorite line.
  11. A big cold bed with thick covers is almost always necessary. Where do you get one of those?
  12. I am so vain; COVID-19 you are totally killing my vibe, who will see my belly & tell me I’m cute?
  13. Rebel to the core. Natural birth? Sure. Weird Name? Why not. Gender Reveal. I gave in.
  14. Just learned about a “sip and see”, and I neeeeeeed one, because well I love a party!
  15. Opening gifts in front of ppl is so AWK! The idea of a baby shower is giving me hives, but also I can’t wait to see all the cute girly items. Oh hormones.
  16. When do I get to start a mom group? And can that be my new career? with wine tastings?
  17. Either I really love my husband these days or my baby has already chosen a favorite.
  18. I miss pot, it makes me way more chill. Kids, your mom will be high all the time. Ask Dad why!
  19. City life is fun and all but I want my kids to have space. Pigs & Chickens anyone?
  20. Also, Patience is not my thing. Kid, where are you?

Have the shower but don’t open gifts 😉 we had a jack and Jill shower and let’s be honest, Portuguese people love food and talking so we didn’t bother to make time for games or gift opening and I wasn’t mad about it at all lol 🤷‍♀️

On the baby shower item : I didn’t open gifts at my shower.

I 1. Asked everyone not to wrap their gift , so either throw it in a basket ( hello organization) or put it in those see-through bags

    2. Opening presents is dreadful for EVERYONE involved , everyone knows what’s in the gifts & so do you .. you registered for it & you can see as things are getting bought.

So just enjoy the day & open presents with your hubby when you get home .

Also , your having a girl – you’ll be all about your husband until she gets here .
